Ryan S. Little
Founder
Ryan S. Little has spent his entire legal career in legal ethics. He started his career as a bar prosecutor for the Hawaii Office of Disciplinary Counsel (“ODC”). During his nearly five years there, he handled his cases from cradle-to-grave—from investigation through the trial and appeal stages.
Mr. Little left ODC to join the complex legal ethics group at a reputable west coast firm. There, he provided ethics advice to some of the most prestigious law firms in the world, and represented high-profile lawyers in matters before the State Bar of California.
In 2024, Mr. Little founded Little Legal, LLLC with one goal—to help lawyers “do the right thing” when it comes to legal ethics. Little Legal now proudly serves lawyers in California, Hawaii, Oregon, Alabama.
Mr. Little serves on the Boards of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (the largest legal ethics bar association in North America) and the Association of Discipline Defense Counsel (California’s legal ethics bar association).
Mr. Little regularly speaks, writes, and teaches on legal ethics issues. He has presented to the American Bar Association, California Lawyers’ Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association, Hawaii State Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association, Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, National Organization of Bar Counsel, and many other groups.
He’s been published or quoted by various outlets, including the ABA Journal, Daily Journal, Bloomberg Law News, Law360, Honolulu Civil Beat, and the Orange County Register.
Mr. Little is a proud graduate of Auburn University and the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Don’t think small. Think Little.
